Trend Signal Turn Dates for S&P500

One of our readers aksed on what dates the MATI trend signal for the S&P 500 turned durring the last few decades.

Here is a table that shows on what dates the MATI signal turned up and down and what the level was of the S&P 500 at that moment.

Not every move is always positive, like in the 2nd half of 2002 till Q1 2003 and end 2011. However avoiding the down trends in 2008 and 2001 compensates for all this.

Since the beginning of 2012, the MATI is up for the S&P 500
Our aim is not to hit exactly the top and bottom of the index. The aim is to be early enough in for the long up-trends and early enough out for the long down-trends.
That has worked rather well for the last 2 decades.
