Different trend trading systems focus on trends of different lengths. Stock Trend Investing focuses on long term trends that are expected to last at least a number of months, but sometimes years. Members of the Stock Trend Investing community review their positions only once per month. This is especially suitable for people who cannot or do not want to spend every day or week a certain amount of time on their investments.
Other trend trading systems focus on shorter trends and require therefore more frequent actions or trades to capitalize on those trends. Some consider intra-day trends; others look at trends that can last a few days or weeks.
Stock Trend Investing is a trend trading system that is based on investments in broad index funds, ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and mutual funds. Of course, the same principles could be applied to options trading, but investors who do so take higher risks. Other trend trading approaches suggest certain specific stocks or futures.
